It's no secret that modems provided by your ISP can leave a lot to be desired. While we generally recommend you use your own hardware when it comes to your internet connection, plenty of people just go with the standard default modem and router. Comcast is making that process just a little bit easier thanks to the xFi Advanced Gateway modem and router. The modem, which the company is billing as the most advanced device it's ever made, made its debut back in May, but starting today it's available in every market that Comcast offers gigabit internet.

Qualcomm, Microsoft Announce First Windows 10 Laptops With Snapdragon 835 Processors

Microsoft and Qualcomm have officially unveiled the first ARM-power Windows 10 laptops manufactured by HP, Lenovo and Asus. These laptops are being powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip (SoC), which is a mobile processor that's typically found inside flagship smartphones. "Qualcomm Technologies continues to transform the way people use their mobile devices," executive vice president of Qualcomm Cristiano Amon said. "At the second annual Snapdragon Technology Summit, we are excited to highlight our role in the mobile ecosystem while we continue to execute on our strategy with Microsoft for the Always Connected PC."

Android 8.1 Oreo goes final, rolling out now to Pixel and Nexus devices

After two developer previews, Android 8.1 Oreo is ready for the masses. Google announced that the new OS is rolling out now and is posting system images for the Pixel 2 and 2 XL, the Pixel 1 and 1 XL, the Pixel C tablet, and the Nexus 6P and 5X. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) code drop should be happening now, too.

Android 8.1 Oreo is a minor maintenance release after the major update of Android 8.0. The biggest feature in 8.1 is a new "Neural Networks API" (NNAPI), which is designed for running machine-learning operations on mobile devices. Phones with specialized machine-learning hardware can hardware accelerate this API, while older devices can use a CPU fallback mode. The API provides a base layer, higher-level, machine-learning framework to plug into, like Google's TensorFlow Lite.

Android Oreo for low-powered phones launches today………

Google is finally releasing the bare bones version of Android it showed offat I/O 2017 back in May. The tech titan is making Android Oreo Go available to manufacturers with Android 8.1, which is scheduled to drop anytime within the next 24 hours. This optimized version of Google's mobile OS was created specifically for devices with only 512MB to 1GB of memory. It was built to be lighter and to run faster on phones that don't come with big ROMs and the most advanced components money can buy, with core apps that are 50 percent smaller and 15 percent faster than their full-sized counterparts.

The suite of pre-installed apps you'll find on a Go phone include Google Assistant Go, Files Go, Google Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, YouTube Go, Gboard, Chrome and the Play Store. Most of these apps are stripped-down variants with simpler interfaces and, in YouTube's case, the ability to load the lowest resolution of videos possible.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler Will Start At $26195: Report

The cheapest version of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, the two-door Sport, will start an MSRP of $26,195 according to documents posted on JL Wrangler Forums. The information seems old, but people who appear to know what they're talking are saying it's legitimate.

On Monday, forum user DrPerez007 published what is apparently a handful of documents about vehicle pricing and details that Jeep sent to its reps for the LA Auto Show.

What seems to be the publication date on these is August of this year, and at least some of the information has already been proven incorrect by actual official reports (the horsepower figure of the 2.0-liter turbo is lower here than the number we were given at the Wrangler's welcome event) but forum users and even the chief administrator of JL Wrangler Forums are confident the document is genuine.
